There Remains a Rest for The People of God?

FREQUENTLY MIS-TRANSLATED and MIS-INTERPRETED PASSAGE

For if Jesus [JOSHUA] had given them rest, then would he [God] not afterward have spoken of another day.  There remaineth [is left behind] therefore a rest to the people of God. Hebrews 4:8‭-‬9 KJV

Nearly all false teaching comes from poor translation, failure to check the translation from the original language, and FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE TRAIN OF THOUGHT IN THE CONTEXT.
You can see what I believe is a corrected translation above.

How shall we escape [similar judgment], if we neglect [fail to care for] so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; –Hebrews 2:3 KJV

The Hebrews to whom he was writing were “leaving behind/neglecting” [4:9] the gospel and its REST from works, to return to the Old Covenant–this letter is A WARNING and admonition to them.

THOSE WHO BELIEVE THE GOSPEL HAVE ENTERED GOD’S PROMISED REST WITH JESUS

“But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; –Hebrews 3:6‭, ‬14 KJV

(For we which HAVE BELIEVED DO ENTER INTO REST,] …Hebrews 4:3 KJV

“For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,  And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:  But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.  Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: –Hebrews 12:18‭-‬19‭, ‬22‭-‬24‭, ‬28 KJV

“All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.   Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.   Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.   For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. –Matthew 11:27‭-‬30 KJV
